The installer will launch, but when I click the install button I get "Driver install failure!" I've downloaded several times from multiple sources. I am trying to install the driver for the CH340 controller to work properly, but it keeps erroring out.
So, I've got an old laptop (2nd gen i7) with a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 21h1 that I'm using in my new workspace to get back into tinkering, which I haven't done in several years. However, I can confirm that it's good to use because I've been using it for years. The problem is that it's a sketchy Chinese driver for a niche market so it doesn't have a signed driver. I've downloaded the driver from 4 different sites, and none of them work. I posted this same question in the Arduino forums, but the only answers I'm getting there are that the driver I'm using is bad and download it from another website.
